The Maine Junior Black Bears has a large amount of rental equipment available.  The sizing is geared towards our younger players, ages 3-10.  It is a great way for parents to get most of the equipment they need for a season for a very reasonable price.

Equipment packages are available to rent for the season for $25.00.  We collect a fee of $25.00 when rental gear is distributed and use that money to purchase new gear as needed. If Gear is not returned than families are invoiced $100.00. If needed a parent can rent as many or as few pieces as they need, the cost is still the same.  Packages include the following:

• Shoulder pads
• Elbow pads
• Shin guards
• Hockey pants
• Gloves and and gear bags
• Limited availability, hockey stick, youth straight blade

The parent needs to supply:

• Helmet
• Skates
• Mouth guard (recommended)
• Neck guard
• Hockey socks
• Pelvic protector or jock shorts, available for both boys and girls

All of which can be purchased for very reasonable prices at Gunn's Sport Shop, in Brewer.  They are a great hockey shop as they take the time to ensure your child is fit properly.
